In 2025, AnimalKind purchased 4401 Route 23 in Hudson, NY. This 2-acre parcel, less than a 10-minute drive from our current home, has over 10,000 vehicles pass daily, and offers plenty of parking, room for growth, and a parklike setting.
Our vision of an efficient and innovative space for staff and volunteers, a welcoming space for the public, and a comforting and safe environment for the cats we serve is being brought to life by Angerame Architects and Lechase Construction. AnimalKind is thrilled to team with these two accomplished firms to execute our vision of a Kinder Future.
January & February, 2026: Our first budget was completed and just when we think we were entering , initial testing indicates bedrock is suspected. Our dream of a basement comes to an end. With a brand new site and floor plan, we will introduce the project to the Town of Greenport’s Planning Board on February 24th. Hoping at the very end of the month to have a revised budget putting us one step closer to a shovel in the ground.
